Russia, US to sign adoption agreement by January –Children’s ombudsman

Russia and the US will sign bilateral adoption agreement by January, Russia’s Ombudsman for Children’s Rights Pavel Astakhov stated on Monday.

He said the countries had conducted efficient talks on the issue.

Astakhov reminded that the treaty is bilateral and Russian families may also adopt American orphans. He promises a money prize for the first Russian adopters.
