Facebook announced a new fair for surrogate mothers and gay couples in Brussels on 29th and 30th of January. The information will be treated with discretion: to know the specific place and get yourself register a private message needs to be sent to that page.
Amounts can not be found on the site, but several gay dads who participated in a similar fair in May in the capital spoke of a cost between 90,000 and 140,000 euros. This time it is the UK subsidiary association of a clinic in Las Vegas, The Fertility Center, which organizes the conference.
BabyBloom will help “to couples looking for information about starting a family,” reads the Facebook page. That support is far from disinterested. BabyBloom promising future gay fathers that they will find a “tailor-made” surrogate mother and thereby will be able to call upon “a large number of candidates.”
The company says to use a revolutionary method with “faster procedures and a 100% guarantee of success.”
Last year the US company Men Having Babies organized a seminar on commercial surrogacy. That first exhibition for surrogate parents sparked outrage by experts. The Belgian LGBT movement distanced itself from the initiative. Commercial surrogacy is prohibited in our country.
